Urunga Maremma Dogs rescued

A family of Maremma Sheep Dogs also known as guardian dogs were dumped in mid April near the Urunga Golf course. Three of the pups were captured by the Bellingen Council Rangers and taken to the pound. We were contacted and drove down to pick them up under a Duty of Care as they did not respond well in the pound. There are ongoing investigations going on and there is still one more Maremma to be found and bought into care. The forth one arrived on Saturday morning. If anyone sees the missing Maremma please do not approach it, try to feed it etc. Please let myself or Jennie Fenton know straight way and take a photo from a distance. we do not want to spook him again.
